Onboarding: Refrigerator Sensor Install

- Welcome to Monaire! In this video, we will show you how to install one of our temperature sensors in a cooler. Let's get started!
- To begin, locate the install work order in the Monaire Contractor app. Once in the work order, select “Add equipment,” then “refrigerator,” and type in the cooler’s name. For example, “RIC 1.” Select “Add.”
- Next, select the equipment you’ve just added to the work order. Here is where you’ll add all the information about the equipment, including the Type, Brand, Model, Serial number, etc.
- Next, you will place a Monaire tag sticker prominently on the front of the unit so it's easily visible, and scan the QR code into the Monaire work order.
- You will be prompted to add photos from the outside with the doors closed as well as a photo of the product inside the equipment.
- Before continuing with the “sensors” section of the installation flow, you'll want to make sure it's fully connected to the Monaire gateway. Simply press and hold the button under ACT until it flashes green. Once it's flashing, it will automatically pair with the nearest gateway.
- Now that your Monaire sensor is connected, it’s time to install it inside the cooler. For small reach-in units, the best location for the sensor is right next to the unit's nameplate. Go ahead and use the included self-tapping screws to securely fasten the sensor in place.
- After the sensor is mounted, refer back to the Monaire work order. Within the work order, you’ll be prompted to scan the QR code on the Monaire sensor as well as add a photo of where the sensor was installed.
- The last and final step is to indicate if this equipment requires any visible repairs. Once done, press “Save and Exit,” add a completion note, and mark the work order as completed.
