Steps involved in overriding thermostat display and Early ON:
First, click on 'Buildings' and select the desired building. Then, decide which unit you want to edit and click on it.
In order to allow overrides on the thermostat display, simply toggle the option on. However, before doing so, it is important to know what this option means. When enabled, users can change set points manually by using the thermostats touch screen.
If the thermostat is locked by a PIN, simply enter the PIN to unlock and override set points. Typically this option is turned on when dealing with special circumstances or temporary needs.
Similarly, you can enable the second option which is Early ON. In simple terms, when turned on, Monaire starts heating or cooling before your schedule so the space is ready on time. Monaire uses three primary factors in doing so: HVAC's system performance, insulation of your space, and historical temperature changes.
For example, if you set a schedule such as cool to 72 degrees at 7:00 AM, Monaire will start cooling before 7:00 AM so that it reaches 72 degrees by that time. With this setting enabled, it is no longer necessary to create a schedule period for when before a store opens in this example.
Now that the functions of both of these options have been explained, enable whichever you would prefer!
