Onboarding (4/6): AC / Split Unit Install

  1. All split units should be onboarded in the Monaire App as Air Conditioners (not RTUs). This is important because the checklist is different for packaged units versus split units. 
  2. Just as is done when onboarding an RTU, you will select Add Equipment, then Air Conditioner, and type in the equipment name. For example, "AC 4."
  3. Then click the small arrow on the right of the equipment, to begin the installation checklist.
  4. As you can see, when onboarding an air conditioner, there are steps to add the Indoor and Outdoor unit information. This is to capture the details of both the air handler and the condenser. Complete these fields referencing information from the name plates. 
  5. When adding the sticker of the Monaire tag, remember that the same tag number should be applied to both the indoor and the outdoor unit. Your hardware kit includes 3 stickers per equipment. 
  6. Look for a spot on the supply and return ductwork within 1-2 feet of the air handler to mount your supply and return sensors. If there's an existing hole in the air handler to drop the probe of the temperature sensor, utilize this. Otherwise, drill a new hole. 
  7. Once you’ve screwed the sensor to the ductwork, drop the probe into the hole, press the button on the sensor, and scan it into the Monaire app.
