As soon as you select Start Installation on the Install work order, you'll see a list of all the hardware at the location. The list should be empty and show (0) next to each equipment, except a number 1 next to Monaire Gateway.
When you press Monaire Gateway you'll notice it says Disconnected. Click the small arrow to the right of the red Disconnected icon.
Before completing these steps, you’ll need to unbox and place the gateway.
Each location should only require one gateway. The gateway connects to cellular and provides WiFi to the other Monaire devices on site.
First, you'll open the box with the gateway.
Inside, you'll find the gateway, a power chord, two antennas, and mounting brackets.
You'll attach the longer antenna on the top left of the gateway, and the shorter antenna on the top right of the gateway.
Plug in the power cord.
Now, let’s talk about connecting the gateway to power.
You’ll want to look for an outlet that isn’t too far from the thermostat and cannot be easily tampered with by employees or customers. Ideally, up and out of the way.
Mount the gateway to the wall using the bracket and screws provided.
Lastly, attach the gateway to the mounted bracket and plug the power cord into the outlet.
Once the gateway is plugged in, you will see a series of lights. There will be a solid red light with a blue blinking light. The blue blinking light will turn solid and a green light will appear.
When the gateway is fully connected, it will display solid red, green, and blue lights.
Now, head back into the work order on the Monaire Contractor app. Enter the name of the area where you’ve installed the gateway, add a photo, and scan the QR code on the box the gateway came in.
Once done, the gateway installation is complete.
If, after a few minutes, the blue light turns red, unplug the gateway and plug it back in. This should resolve the issue.
